MyTransport.sg mobile web portal public transport users and motorists

The Land Transport Authority has launched a mobile web portalĀ MyTransport.sg for users to access transport related information in real time. It utilises HTML5′s geolocation feature on the Nexus One as well when looking for bus schedules for nearby bus stops. There is also “live” count of available parking lots in many car parks downtown as well as easy access to view “live” traffic on the expressways. Simple and straight forward.

Visit MyTransport.sg on your Nexus One now to see all the features! It’s nice to see Singapore providing more avenues for people with a very mobile digital lifestyle. I say: keep them coming!

  1. I just ordered my nexus one and should be getting my phone within the next couple of days.

I am looking for an app to stream live radio from local radio station, eg. class 95. Any app recommendation?

    regards,
    Adrian

  2. I do not think there is any applications for that at the moment. Class 95 and other MediaCorp channels are streamed using Microsoft’s ASF format and I doubt that will come to Android anytime soon.

You can wait and hope that Google enables the FM receiver in the Nexus One in the future.

  4. Yes, I’m in Singapore. domL has the Martin Fields one.

I use 3M Vikuiti DQC-160 personally which I got from the UK. I have a spare one at $18 if you are keen.

  6. @Adrian It seems you can now listen to local streaming stations via the USD 2.99 application at http://radiotime.com/apps/android.aspx.

It transcodes the online stream to a stream supported by android. I have not tested this but others are saying it works.
